M&A is driven by corporate strategy. Corporate strategy is heavily influenced by larger trends. Our focus, the internet | mobile | digital media sectors, are rapidly converging and a number of major themes are influencing corporate strategy. We find it helpful to think about M&A in the context of these themes. Each quarter we publish the AP M&A Snapshot which identifies key themes and summarizes related M&A activity. Over the course of the next week or so we’ll take a look at M&A activity driven by 5 well established themes:
